The Forest - A Lighting Design Installation Of Everyday Items In Conjunction With The Singapore Night Festival 2016
The Forest - A Lighting Design Installation Of Everyday Items In Conjunction With The Singapore Night Festival 2016
Project Description
Using everyday objects like plastic bottles, cups and sapu lidi (broom sticks) bristles to create an installation of light, shadow play and sound, the installation recreates the forest-like setting in “The Very Wishing Story” by Singaporean designers Lee Wei Lieh and Sum Qian Yu. Visitors could try out props that were used to create the soundscape of "The Forest", as well as partake in a workshop to create simple craft elements to interact with lighting effects of the installation. Designed by Build Beyond Borders, a design collective of graduates from Temasek Polytechnic’s School of Design, in collaboration with lighting design studio Light Collab.
