A thoughtful refurbishment of the façades and landscapes of colonial-era heritage properties along Scotts Road.
Characterized by distinctive Corinthian columns elevated on stilts, the architecture reflects a considered interplay between classical form and local Malayan design principles. The lighting enhancement brings these defining vertical elements into focus, revealing their textures and architectural details while working entirely within existing cable routes — eliminating the need for hacking and preserving the integrity of the heritage buildings.
Across the newly curated landscape, discreet and playful lighting elements are woven into the natural setting, from subtle ground-level niches to carefully illuminated garden features. A warm façade glow, complemented by nuanced landscape lighting, creates a gentle dialogue between historic architecture and tropical foliage as day transitions into night.
It has been a privilege to illuminate this iconic heritage site, bringing its architectural character and landscape to life from dusk to dawn.
