The Forest - a Lighting Design Installation of Everyday Items

We collaborated with Build Beyond Borders and Very Small Exhibition for an immersive installation made of everyday items such as plastic bottles, cups and sapu lidi (broom sticks) bristles. We explored the various luminous qualities of objects like the glowing corn cups, glittering water bottles and the projection of shadows. We also observed how the chamfered cardboard tubes glowed internally and created a V-shaped ray when lit up. The corn cups also created a linear uplight effect onto the cardboard contours. The event was interesting and engaging for all ages as both adults and children actively participated in workshops and played around in "The Forest".
