Project Description
Located in a luxury 5-star Hotel, Origin+Bloom shares a concept of embracing cafe culture. The use of different strip light profiles allows us to accentuate bread on shelves, materials within the cafe and highlights the mesh ceiling facade. As large amount of daylight enters the space during the day, we aim to compliment our lighting with the daylight that enters the space. As the cafe transits throughout the day, different lighting control strategies were implemented to suit the ambient of the time of the day. One of the challenge that we encountered in this project was lighting up the entire bread shelve as bread are being stacked all the way to the back of the shelve and we wanted to prevent dark spots as much as possible. Having high CRI is also important in a cafe as the colours of the bread will enhance the appetite of a user. The fittings that we used has a CRI >95 which brings out the colour and vibrancy of the food and materials used within the cafe. Track spotlight and linear diffusers provides functional lighting and highlight furnitures and equipments within the space.
